As we leave another year behind and enter into a new year, let us make it a time of new beginnings.
In the Old Testament book of Haggai in The Bible, it says, “Consider your ways.” (Haggai 1:5, 7; also see Chapter 2, v.15, 18)
Today…and every day, let us “consider” our ways. There are many things that we would have changed this year and should have changed. But instead of focusing on that and letting it “bring us down”, let’s move ahead. While we don’t ignore it nor do we “sweep it under the rug”, we can repent of our sins and ask GOD for daily help to not repeat those sins.
So today…as you “consider your ways”, think of the question that JESUS asked Peter 3 times: “lovest thou me?” (John 21:15,16,17) Do you hear THE LORD asking you that question?
HE is not asking us to be perfect nor to “do better”…HE is asking if we love HIM. That is all HE wants…our love…our heart.
When you feel like you cannot walk another step, remember this: JESUS came into the world to save us, not “condemn” us. JESUS said in John 3:17, “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”
